Redeem Your CRV Eligible Recyclables
Our mobile buy back recycling unit is coming to a location near you. This mobile program is part of a special pilot project in which only 10 organizations have the opportunity to participate. Currently, you will only see the mobile unit along the Mendocino Coast, but we are looking to expand locations in the near future! You can bring your California Redemption Value recyclables to us and get your cash refund.

Eligible CRV container items include:
- Beer and malt beverages
- Wine coolers and distilled spirit coolers
- Carbonated fruit drinks, water or soft drinks
- Non-carbonated fruit drinks, water, or soft drinks
- Coffee and tea beverages
- 100% fruit juice less than 46 oz.
- Vegetable juice 16 oz. or less
- Sports drinks
- Starting January 1, 2024, Distilled Spirits and Wine (including sparkling and alcohol removed wine) in any container material, including box, bladder, or pouch, will also be eligible.

All items must have their original labels and be empty, clean, and dry. Please do not crush cans. A valid California ID is required.
Customers are limited to 100 pounds of aluminum maximum, 100 pounds of plastic maximum, and 1,000 pounds of glass maximum. Customers exceeding the daily limit will be turned away.
California Redemption Value Program
In order to encourage beverage container recycling, the State of California implemented the California Redemption Value (CRV) program in which consumers pay a CRV when purchasing a qualifying beverage and are refunded the CRV when redeem the container at a buy back recycling center. The CRV values are as follows:
- Containers less than 24 ounces = 5¢
- Containers 24 ounces or larger = 10¢
- Starting January 1, 2024, Wine or Distilled Spirits in a box, bladder, or pouch, or similar container = 25¢

CRV Refunds per Container
By law, consumers can bring up to 50 aluminum, 50 glass, 50 plastic, and 50 bi-metal CRV containers in a single visit and request to be paid by count. Consumers will be paid the full CRV redemption of 5 cents or 10 cents on each container. Prior to unloading, inform site attendant that payment should be per container.
CRV Refunds by Weight
If recycling more than 50 containers of any one material type, the decision to pay by count or weight is determined by the recycling center operator.

If the load includes containers not eligible for CRV, the recycling center must either reject the load or pay only scrap value.
CRV Walk Up Location
This location is Walk Up ONLY. Customers must park on the street and walk their loads into the location.
