C&S Waste Solutions of Lassen County is a full service solid waste and recycling company. Since 2012, we have served as the franchised waste hauler for the City of Susanville and certain unincorporated areas of Lassen County.

Residential Services
We offer curbside garbage, recycling and green waste collection in Susanville and throughout many areas in Lassen County, California. Click here for a map of our service area.
Collection service for residential customers includes trash with optional recycling and green waste collection.
Garbage Collection
- Cart: Dark Gray/Black lid
- Sizes: 35, 65 or 95 gallon carts
- Frequency: Weekly
- Material: Non-recyclable items accepted by the landfill

Carts need to be placed at curb or road edge at least 3 feet apart by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day. Please position carts to open towards the street and keep them free of neighboring or overhead obstacles.

Residents can also purchase pre-paid bags for garbage and put these bags out on the appropriate collection day. These bags are ideal for vacation homes and people that do not generate enough garbage to require regular weekly service. Bags can be purchased at our office located at 471-825 Diane Drive in Susanville, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
To start new service, please call us at (530) 252-1200. All residential new customers are required to complete a New Customer Information Form before starting service. The New Service Form is also available at our office.
Completed forms can be faxed, emailed, mailed or hand-delivered to our office. Advance payment and a photo ID are required for all new services.
Recycling Collection
- Cart: Blue lid
- Size: 95 gallon cart
- Frequency: Weekly (same day as garbage service)
- Material: Newspaper, household paper, magazines, cardboard, food and beverage glass, metal cans, plastic food and beverage containers

- Cart: Green lid
- Size: 96 gallon cart
- Frequency: Weekly (same day as garbage service)
- Material: Lawn clippings, leaves, plant material, branches under 4″ in diameter, and small unpainted wood pieces

Bulky Item Collection
- Residents can have up to two (2) bulky items and up to five (5) electronic waste items (e.g. TVs, computers, monitors, etc.) collected annually at no charge. Bulky items typically include a piece of furniture or an appliance. A charge for freon removal may be applied for refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners.
- Collection of additional bulky items (beyond the free items) can be arranged for a fee.

Curbside Oil & Filter Collection
We offer curbside collection of motor oil and oil filters for residential customers at no additional cost. Please call 530-252-1200 for information and to schedule a pick-up.
Christmas Tree Collection
We offer curbside collection of unflocked Christmas trees to residential customers during the FIRST FULL WEEK in January at no charge. Please remove all decorations and place the tree next to your carts on your regular trash collection day.

During these weeks, if your regular collection days falls on or after the holiday, collection is delayed one day.

Note: As of July 1, 2018, recycling services are available for a fee to commercial businesses and multi-family residences that do not subscribe to garbage collection services.

California Recycling Mandate
California Assembly Bill (AB) 341 establishes a 75% recycling goal for California by the year 2020. What does this mean to your business or apartment complex? If you generate 4 or more cubic yards of solid waste per week, or have 5 or more units at a multifamily dwelling, you must have recycling service.

Bulk Waste Services
Bulk waste collection service is available to commercial and multi-family customers for an additional fee. Please call our office at (530) 252-1200 for more information.

Special Services
Roll Off Debris Boxes
For those temporary special projects or large jobs, CSLC provides the right box at the right price for the right material.
- 15, 20 and 30 cubic yard roll-off bins are available for remodel, construction, landscape tear-out, and large clean ups. For more information, view our size guide.
- When renting roll-off boxes, customers are required to fill out a release form.

Temporary Clean Up Bins
For those temporary special projects or large jobs, CSLC provides the right bin at the right price for the right material.

Motor Oil & Filter Collection
We offer curbside collection of motor oil and oil filters for commercial customers for a fee. Please call 530-252-1200 for pricing information and to schedule a pick-up.
Household Hazardous Waste
Hazardous and electronic waste is strictly prohibited in all garbage carts, recycle carts, greenwaste carts and debris boxes. This includes all paints, thinners, pesticides, motor oil, fluorescent tubes and electronics such as televisions, monitors, and VCRs.
You may take the following residential items to Bass Hill Landfill:
- Electronics (TVs, computers, VCRs, stereo equipment, cell phones, etc.)
- Household and automotive batteries
- Fluorescent Tubes
- Motor oil and oil filters
- Antifreeze

CSLC is committed to educating residents and providing value tips regarding garbage, recycling and composting.
Want to become more waste wise?
We are available to make presentations to civic organizations and group who would like to learn more about preserving our natural resources and leading edge solutions in managing solid waste. Call us at 530-252-1200 to schedule your presentation.
Want to educate and empower the next generation?
Teaching our children to reduce, reuse and recycle now protects our environment’s future. Free presentations are available to schools and groups ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. Presentations last approximately 30 minutes, and focus on litter, the 3 R’s (reduce, reuse & recycle) and proper disposal of household hazardous waste. Students will learn how they can help make their community cleaner and more sustainable. Call us at 530-252-1200 to schedule your presentation.
